Lose up to 3 inches from your waist in Just 4 days
For most of us, our new year’s resolution to finally lose the weight is already faltering. Maybe we haven’t been able to find the time to get to the gym.  Or, maybe we fell back into old habits when we go out for lunch with that skinny co-worker who seems to eat everything and not gain an ounce.  Here’s your no nonsense guide to jump start your weight loss, lose inches from your waist and have a flatter tummy in just 4 short days.

1.       Start with a Cleanse
A good cleanse will clear toxins from the body and move fecal matter along much faster. While there are many brands on the market, speak with your neighborhood natural health food store expert before committing.

2.       Water
Drink a cup of water per hour. Water beats bloat, fills you up so you feel less hungry, flushes toxins and helps transport nutrients to your cells. Our bodies are 60% water. To be healthy we need to stay hydrated. Filtered, pure water is recommended.

3.       What To Eat Daily

a.       Lemon juice to taste in 12-16 oz of warm water on waking will help eliminate toxins. The lemon juice also helps build your body’s immunity and fights inflammation.

b.      Prune juice is an alternative to lemon juice if you have a sensitive stomach. Prune juice will empty the bowels rather effectively.

c.       Fresh organic fruit juices will provide much needed nutrition during this time. It will also help to satiate your hunger and flush waste from the colon, leaving you with a flatter tummy.

d.      Have a huge fresh salad at lunch and again at dinner. This fiber is essential for scrubbing the intestine and moving fecal matter along. Most veggies and fruits are great for this diet. Avocado and nuts are also excellent because of their monounsaturated fats content.  Monounsaturated fats or MUFA’s are needed to help absorb the nutrients from the veggies and fruits, provide you with energy and control blood sugar so you don’t feel too hungry. Garlic is anti-inflammatory and aids the elimination of toxins. Less inflammation means your body is working at peak potential and will respond well to weight loss.

e.      Yogurt. The addition of yogurt to your diet will help balance the good flora in the digestive tract. A healthy digestive tract is necessary for faster weight loss.

f.        Only lean protein should be consumed during these 4 days. 4 oz portions of tuna, chicken breast or turkey should be eaten with lunch and dinner. Protein helps stave off hunger by keeping you fuller longer. It also has the extra benefit of reducing bloat.

g.       Green tea acts as a diuretic, help rev up metabolism, provides you with energy and promotes calorie burn.

4.       Foods to Avoid

a.       Alcohol. One of the worse things you can do during this time is to consume alcohol. We all know that many alcoholic beverages hide a lot of sugar and contain hundreds of calories in a single drink. However, did you know that alcohol inhibits your fat burning mechanisms as well as causes bloating?

b.      Sugar in any form will pack the pounds on. Usually, we reach for a sugary snack when we feel stressed. This stress will turn on the hormone, Cortisol which will store sugar as fat in your mid-section.

c.       Salt has no calories. However, it does cause water retention – and stomach distension.

d.      Flour. This is basically empty calories and will slow down the digestion process immensely. During these 4 days, you must keep the digestive tract moving.

e.      Heavy meals, fried foods and cheese. During this time you need to think light. No comfort foods. These foods move through the digestive tract very slowly, leaving you feeling heavy, weighed down and distended.

f.        Beans, broccoli , cabbage. These foods tend to produce excess gas in the stomach, resulting in a bloating.

g.       Icecream and dairy.  Many American adults have a difficult time digesting dairy. This results in bloating. They also may be high calorie foods which should be avoided.

5.       Supplements

Whenever you are dieting, especially when adding exercise to your lifestyle, your body will require extra nutrition. You can get this through supplements. Remember, though, that not all supplements are created equal. Do your research to ensure that the vitamins you take are bio-available. Bio-available vitamins are formulated so your body readily accesses and benefits from the nutrients they contain.

6.       Posture
Improving your posture can have a profound impact on the way your jeans fit. Perfect posture involves using your abs muscles to stand erect. Making this a habit will loosen that tape measure a few notches.

7.       Speak With Your Doctor
Before following this or any other weight loss plan, it is advisable that you consult with your health care professional.

Following this plan, you cleanse the body of any fecal matter, and keep the digestive tract moving while nourishing the body with healthy juices and veggies. Eliminating certain foods from your diet prevents water retention and bloating.  By avoiding high calorie foods, you accelerate weight and inches lost.  If you have been putting off your weight loss plans, I encourage you to use this plan to get a fast start on your goals today.
Good Luck!
